Gris by Oléti
A light and fresh rosé gris with grapefruit and pineapple aromas. Perfect for a sunny aperitif.
Grape variety
The wine is made from 100% Malbec.
IGP Côtes du Lot
Terroir and climate
The cuvée comes mainly from plots located on the second terraces; ancient alluvia composed of sand and silt cover a mantle of clay-sandy pebbles. The average age of the vines is around 40 years. The vineyard is entirely grassed and treatments are limited to the strict minimum.
winemaking and aging
The harvest is hand-sorted and fully destemmed. For rosé wines, we practice “saignée” (bleeding off) after a very short maceration. Fermentation is conducted slowly, at a temperature of around 14 degrees Celsius. The wines are aged for about 6 months in vats before being bottled.
Tasting
In 2024, nature blessed us with a harvest light in alcohol and color. We therefore decided not to extend the maceration times and to produce a very pale rosé cuvée. Its low alcohol content (11.5) and freshness give it a light feel.
Gris by Oleti develops aromas of exotic fruits, grapefruit, lemon, and pineapple. It can be served chilled as an aperitif and will be the ideal companion for a tapas meal or grilled fish.
